Create, Paintings

Pretty little coffee picture.

This little coffee painting was one of the first listings that I posted on my Etsy page.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/491224146/coffee-art-kitchen-decor-foodie-gift?ref=shop_home_active_19

I was, and still am, proud of this piece. It was one of the first ones that I tried using a new technique with these Pebeo Fantasy Paints.

I created it on a very tiny canvas. The surface is only 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches. It is a canvas panel, not a stretched canvas.

The black lines are drawn with the outliner, or liquid leading. What you’re actually supposed to do with it, is to draw your lines with a thick line, and then fill in the spaces with the paint. Some of this brand of paint is meant to be poured, and some is actual glass paint. So the thinking is, to outline the different sections with your leading and when they are filled in and dry, it will resemble stained glass.

Well, what I tried with this particular piece was just using the liquid leading to draw my picture. I wanted to just create the outlines with it. Then I went back and filled in with my paints. These paints lend themselves so well to blending together.
